False tail help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sure. If you dont want to spend much, know the exact colour you want and know the size (single, double or triple) id check out ebay (probably applies to both of you) and you can get them quite cheap, some good brands too.
Where abouts are you? Because I can only help if your in Aus..can you help me? Im in brisbane and ill be looking at getting one for my white tailed poneh in the future
If its seriously just two inches too short (in reference to you saying a two inch one would work) then I wouldnt worry about it. Buying a tail is a big investment in many cases and if you wont be able to reuse this tail due to selling the horse it seems to be a waste. If youre going to a BIG show you may have to bite the bullet and buy a tail, a small show will let you get away with it in many cases though.
As r as a quick fix goes, what Ive done in the past is braid the tail in a few small braids the whole way down and then braided that all together into one chunk then take it out a few minutes before you get on your horse and hair spray it and tease it a little in the middle.
I live in colorado :( (I hate it here I want to move back to Texas!!!!) Is there a quick fix for just one show because I will have to sell him after my big year end show :(
The problem is they are so expensive and I need a white one (they are usually the most expensive). I was wondering where I could get a cheap one. It doesnt need to be ncy or really long even just a 2 one will help! I just want him to look half way decent.
I think I got mine from Julie Thatcher in Vic, Supreme tails (was so long ago! But im pretty sure thats where it came from) and its been quite good.
What type of showing are you doing with him and what does the tail look like?
I got my tail from here. Its an awesome tail and Ive had it for three years now, still in perfect condition! I love the quality and the instructions on putting them in were helpful too :)
Horse Tail Extension
Thanks for that! An old friend picked up a cheap black one for her old bay and it just looked, well, cheap! My boy has a pretty thin tail so I was thinking about just a single to add to it and make it look lush for the hack ring :)
They are expensive but if you look after them they will last years and years. Every now and then I give mine a wash, just loop it over a tap, false horse tails and shampoo and condition
You might want to practise it a couple times because Ive seen people do that and it looked god aweful. Just a big lump in the middle of a straight top and end. Its made my friends standardbreds tail look so much fuller and nicer.
Its best to get a longer one to start with, or one that hasnt been cut at all so you can cut it where you want it.
can you help me? Im in brisbane and ill be looking at getting one for my white tailed poneh in the future
Champion tails would be the most popular in Aus, horse hairs you can mix and match any colour you want so its exact to your horses colour and they will make it for you, and you can find them in pretty much any saddlery.
His tail is ridiculously short and thin because it gets chewed off. It is about 1 longer than the tail bone (if that) :( I cant buy a tail because I have to save all my money to get Princess brokFalse tail help!!!!!Horse hair jewelry&handicrafts,!!!!!!!!!!e. Its a pretty big show so Im hoping to find a inexpensive fix. If I sell my saddle I might be able to get a tail but I only have one person looking at it right now and Im not sure if she wants to buy it or not.
